Al igual que los libaneses, jud\u00edos y griegos, entre otros, eran considerados blancos. Sin embargo, fueron vistos como diferentes a la poblaci\u00f3n anglo, que era m\u00e1s numerosa, y experimentaron muchas de las mismas restricciones que los afroamericanos.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Los hijos de inmigrantes mexicanos lucharon por encontrar su lugar. Muchos esperaban encajar usando menos el espa\u00f1ol y participando en muchas de las tradiciones culturales de la aburrida clase media blanca de Wichita.
