Los latinos pasaron de constituir aproximadamente el 1.5% de la poblaci\u00f3n en 1980 al 9% en el 2000, y a m\u00e1s del 15% hacia el a\u00f1o 2010. Los inmigrantes mexicanos tendieron a establecerse en el extremo norte o North End de Wichita y fueron claves en la definici\u00f3n del paisaje de esa parte de la ciudad.
